TiviMate Premium Lifetime Fix

If you are using the world's most popular Android TV player, chances are you've encountered the frustrating TiviMate Premium expired login loop. Right before a major sports event, your annual Membership expires, and the TiviMate Companion app refuses to let you upgrade to the "Lifetime" tier, trapping you in an endless authentication loop.

In this technical guide, we will show you exactly how to bypass the companion app bug, secure a Lifetime license, and—most importantly—backup your settings so you don't lose your customized channel groups and favorites.

Why Does the Expired Login Loop Happen?

The issue stems from a synchronization delay between the Google Play Store billing API and the TiviMate Companion app. When an annual Membership expires, Google Play often retains the "Active" status in its cache for up to 48 hours. Because TiviMate thinks you still have an active annual sub, it hides the button to purchase the Lifetime license.

Step 1: Backup Your Current Configuration (CRITICAL)

Before attempting any Membership fixes, you must back up your data. If you clear the app data without a backup, you will lose all your API Connection credentials, hidden groups, and EPG configurations.

  1. Open TiviMate on your Android TV or Firestick.
  2. Navigate to Settings > General.
  3. Scroll down and select Backup data.
  4. Choose a local folder (like your "Downloads" folder) or a connected USB drive.
  5. Note the exact location of the .tmb (TiviMate Backup) file.

Step 2: Breaking the Companion App Loop

To force the "Lifetime" upgrade option to appear, you need to clear the Google Play cache.

  1. On the device where TiviMate Companion is installed (usually your Android phone), go to Settings > Apps.
  2. Find the Google Play Store app.
  3. Tap Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
  4. Open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, and ensure TiviMate is fully canceled.
  5. Open the TiviMate Companion app. The "Unlock Lifetime" option should now be visible.

Step 3: Restore Your Data and Upgrade Your Stream

Once you have purchased the Lifetime license and logged back into TiviMate on your TV:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Restore data.
  2. Select your .tmb backup file.
Note

Even with a Lifetime TiviMate license, your streaming experience is only as good as your server. If your provider suffers from server fatigue during major events, even the best app won't stop the buffering.
